Virtual Library

CaseNEX is a unique professional development organization that prepares educators and school leaders for the demands of K-12 education. Through the use of case methods, participants analyze authentic issues and consider appropriate actions when faced with similar issues. Calling on educators and administrators to engage in a rigorous process of learning and evaluation, we partner with individuals, school districts, educational service centers, states, and associations to create and deliver world-class professional development programs fitted to the realities of teaching and learning today. Our courses offer a collaborative approach to learning that is anchored in effective practice and based upon the tenets of problem-based learning.

What is the Virtual Library?

The CaseNEX by IO Education Virtual Library is a rich, curated database that houses extensive resources, available for multiple professional learning purposes. Use of the Virtual Library includes access to readings, multimedia cases and other resources associated with each CaseNEX course as well as the availability of full access for use by interested individuals or in customizable learning experiences for teachers and leaders. The rich array of over 1,000 resources includes a collection of online readings, journals, articles, and newspapers, as well as over 100 multimedia cases and 80 video-based “Critical Perspectives.” Both cases and perspectives are CaseNEX developed. CaseNEX multimedia cases or “slices of life,” form a realistic connection between professional learning and the complex school environment and Critical Perspective videos provide experts’ commentary on key issues in education.
